Rewards
Hi Guys.
I was looking at the profile of Stan From Manchester Virtual and i noticed the rewards he had recieved. And i was wondering if we could have an A/C reward as in the most hours/miles/rating on said A/C. And i also think airline rewards would be cool i think.....it would help promote airlines.

Re: Rewards
The awards are still turned off I believe. Konny might be able to clear that up for you.

Re: Rewards
The awards are actually still active (most hours/miles/rating), there is just no page anymore were you can see the top3-pilots like we once had as I always wanted to completely overhaul the awards but haven't yet had the time to.
Things I wanna change are:
- add more awards, especially ones that every pilot can achieve (e.g. awards for 20h, 100h, ..., 5x100% in row, etc. )
- give awards to airlines, too

Re: Rewards
That is GREAT news i hope you can get that done as it would be amazing.
Re: Rewards
I think updating the awards would be a good thing, because it does seem a bit unfair that certain people from the big airlines get all the awards because they have WHEY to much time on their hands. It just seems a little unfair to people who dont have much flying time, im only 14 but that dont mean i have lots of time

Re: Rewards
Re Konny,s post above about awards for 5X 100% Flights,if a pilot subsequently goes on to do 10X 100% Flights the award be replaced with an award for 10x 100% flights, then 20/50/100/200 etc. This way the site would only have to host one award for each pilot.I suppose this could be applied to other awards too.Easy for me to say with no knowledge of computer programming but i am certain one of our chiefs could knock this up in no time at all.
Yours Stan

Re: Rewards
I also thought of Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum awards for 5x/20x/50x/100x 100% which will always replace the 'lower' award.
What I currently have in mind are simple awards for the flight hours, miles flown and pax transported. Which means that you earn a new badge with every limit (20h, 50h, ...)
And then there are these Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum awards for:
- perfect flying award: 5x/20x/50x/100x in a row 100% rating
- realism award: last 5/20/50/100 flights were flown in realtime
- globetrotter award: 10/20/50/100 different airports approached
If you have some cool ideas for more pilot or airline awards, please tell us here, maybe we can add them. But don't expect any results soon, there are currently more important things we have to care about.

Re: Rewards
some kind of award based on lifetime safety ratings.
80% or less - armchair pilot
80-85% towel boy
85% - 90% stewardess/flight attendant
90% - 95% first officer (bronze medal)
95% - 98% captain (silver medal)
98% - 100% senoir captain (gold medal)
of course all names could be different, but that's the idea anyways. Make the highest one very hard to get. Maybe make it even 99% - 100%
like:
80% or lower:
80-90%
90-95%
95-98% bronze
98-99% silver
99-100% gold

Re: Rewards
I love the idea of a realism award.
On the same lines there could perhaps be an award for consecutive profit making flights.
Of course my airline has a vested interest here, out of 388 flights there has been only one deficit (and that was due to a client malfunction)
