Passenger List

Post by alasizon » Fri Oct 17, 2008 4:21 am

While I enjoy the new feature, would it be possible to make the list more realistic with the locations being more realistic such as more people from the cities you are departing/arriving to/from?

I totally agree. It seems rather strange that one does a flight from somewhere that is likely to not have many Americans and Germans etc. on board yet the plane is full up with them and doesn't have ANY people from the local country or countries

Yes, you're right, I hadn't noticed that all passengers were either of American or German citizenship. MY flight from Lulea, Sweden to Stockholm, Sweden consists entirely of Germans and Americans. Still, I believe it's the admins first attempt at creating passenger lists, so I guess we should be patient as improvements are made to the lists.

For the admin; I am not sure how they do it, but I used to use FSPassengers when I had FS9 and their passenger lists seem to tie in with the country you are flying out of or going to. Might be worth having a look.

Agreed to all above.

Another thing is that I haven't come across anyone under the age of 20 or any familys etc. Usually theres a few families + small crying pain-in-the-arse infants.

Seems amusing that a flight across Australia is full of Germans, Americans and the occasional Spaniard.

But still, fantastic job for implementing it!!
Kudos.

Out of curiosity does anyone know what country "ES" would be?

Agreed.

Perhaps the passenger lists could be limited to citizens of the departure/arrival countries, with perhaps 10-20% of the passenger list being a bit more random with people from other countries.

I have to confess that I really don't see the need for this facility... it must take up quite a bit of space on the server, and where did you get all the names/dates of birth from? You surely can't have made them up?
Just curious

Here's a funny idea.
How about if the passenger list was taken from the database of current FSAirlines pilots? ;)
This could either be regionally biased (if members locations are known), or purely random.

ya thats what i said in the first topic, but i dont think it got a response... i think it would be funny seeing them on MY plane supporting My airline instead of theirs... and if i would be seen, then im not supporting, just seeing what the comp that doesnt compare to me has
