Configurable seating arrangements

Post by dgor » Thu Aug 21, 2008 12:43 pm

Hi,

One thing I would love to see introduced in FSAirlines is the ability to configure the seating arrangement on planes bought straight from the manufacturer. Right now on Flynet we have the planes configured mostly for 3-class layouts but only one fare which makes no sense.

What I am proposing is that when buying the aircraft, there are options regarding the number and type of seats (economy, business, first). Each route would then have 3 fares depending on the aircraft used - one for economy, one for business and one for first. Obviously the Standard price would be higher for first class and lower for economy class. And obviously less business class seats will fit in the same area than economy seats.

This would give the option of all-economy budget flights, mixed class systems, and all-business class flights as quite a lot of RW airlines seem to be trying now.

Just my 2 cents worth of an idea I am sure a lot of people would like in the new system.

Dave
Regards,
Dave
