Press release- April 26th, 2008

With the rising costs of fuel, North Eastern Airways (NEA, S.M.-NAW) has decided to retire up to 16 aircraft from its fleet. We will be retiring up to 5 Boeing 737-800's and will be retiring up to 10 MD-83's. The retiring of the MD-83's will be affective immediately. NEA has retired our single Concorde due to fuel prices. These aircraft have been put up on the market at a discount price, planes will be sold first come-first serve, starting with airlines from the World alliance. If no buyers are found within two days, the aircraft will be opened up for sale to the general public. We also intend on cutting 5% of our flights by grounding these aircraft.

The prices for the 737-800 will be 56,500,000 each, they are all being sold as-is/where-is, they each are at least 99% or greater.
The prices for the Md-83's will be 15,500,000 each, which are all in 100% condition.
The Concorde is being listed at 150,000,000 and is in over 99.5% condition.

Also, NEA has taken order of our first Boeing 767-300ER, though this is the second time this aircraft has been in the fleet, it will stay in this time. Along with the 767, NEA's corporate division has taken order of its first Boeing BBJ aircraft.

NEA has also received its first Boeing 737-700ER.

NEA has sold their only 777-200ER to Canadian Northwest Air for 165 million dollars, we have also scrapped the sole ERJ-145 that was part of the SJA merger. We have sold three Boeing 707-320C's from our historic fleet, making the new total 4 aircraft, and one Boeing 737-200adv, was sold to Fly Hawaii AIr

NEA is in the talks with British Airways Virtual Cargo about a possible merger. In this merge, North Eastern Airways will take control of BAVC. Management from BAVC will take control of North Eastern Cargo (NEC), NEA's cargo division. This merge would compliment NEC's fleet, because both airlines use the same types of aircraft, with the DC-10-30F being the main aircraft used in both companies. There are only a few airbuses, that would conflict with NEC's fleet, which since being in small numbers, would be retired when the possible merger is completed.

NEA offically announces that KPHX, Pheonix Sky Harbor airport, has offically become our first west coast hub. PHX, will serve all of the West coast, and most of the East Coast as well. This will mark the beginning of NEA's pressence being increased over all of the US, with the opening of seven hubs or focus cities. Along with PHX, KBNA, Nashville Intl Airport, has offically become one of NEA's hubs.

Press Release: May 9th, 2008

North Eastern Airways (NEA, S.M.-NAW) is proud to announce that our cargo branch, North Eastern Cargo (NEC), have taken the very first delivery of the BRAND NEW series of aircraft from Boeing, the 777-200LRF, registered NT7F1NE (N [usa]-T7 [triple 7]-F [freighter]-1 [first]-NE [North Eastern] ) ! We received the plane at Memphis Intl Airport, earlier today. A ceremony will not be held at KMEM, but one is planned for this weekend. It will fly its first profitable flight later today, when it flys from KMEM, our current main cargo hub, to PANC, which is one of our secondary hubs. It will then fly from PANC to Pittsburgh Intl Airport where it will then stay at for the whole weekend. The Ceremony is planed to be held on Saturday, May 10th, 2008, during the 2008 Wings over Pittsburgh Airshow, which is being held, Saturday and Sunday. It will be the main attraction, and will be on display the whole time at the 911th airwing on the east side of the airport. This arrival into the fleet marks the begining of a whole new era of aircraft coming into North Eastern Airways, and all of its subdivisions!

North Eastern Airways and British Airways Virtual Cargo, have agreed to merge our two companies into one new one, with NEA taking control. The new company will be called North Eastern Airways, and will continue BAVC's current presence in Europe. The current CEO of BAVC will become the Executive manager of North Eastern Cargo, and will control and recrute for our cargo airline and for the whole company. There will not be much of a conflict with fleets, for the most part we both opperate Boeing fleets, but BAVC does have a few airbus A300's that wont fit in with the fleet. Possible aircraft that may be sold has yet to be talked about, but we will try to stream line our fleets as much as possible. The merger will be finalized on Sunday, May 11th, when we will merge the companies together.

Two Boeing MD-83's and two BAE-146-300 transfers, and one Embrear ERJ-145XR purchase has created a new fleet for North Eastern Airways. We now have a seperate charter fleet, which we will use for our charter flights, that anyone may plan. We also will be purchasing a long range aircraft, for this fleet, but has not decided on what aircraft yet. We are currently looking into a Boeing 737-700ER or possibly a Boeing 757-200 that is ETOPS certified.

Press Release: July 17th, 2008

North Eastern Airways (NEA, S.M.-NAW) is proud to announce two major additions to our airline. We have spent time on this decision, taking into account many factors and the fact that we are trying to simplify our fleets. This order is for up to twenty-two aircraft of two manufactures, Boeing and Embraer.

The Boeing order is for twelve aircraft. The main part of this order is for ten Boeing 777's. This order includes seven 777-300ER's and three 777-200LRF's for our cargo division. Two of the seven 777-300ER's will be used in Japan for Northern Japan Airways along with 757-300's 767-400's, and 787's. This order could possibly kill our 747-400ER's and 747-400ERF's from our fleet. We currently have a fleet of two 777-200LR's and a fleet of three 777-200LRF's, so the addition of ten more will fit in our fleet perfectly because of commonality between all three types. The other two aircraft of this order will be Boeing 717-200's that will be used with North Eastern Express.

The other order for up to nine aircraft is for Embraer's ERJ-145XR, 170 and 190 aircraft. It would include two Erj-145XR's, four 170's, and three 190. These aircraft will be used on low density flights from our hubs to small cities of the midwest and west with North Eastern Express.

The first 777-300ER has been delivered to our hub at KPIT and is registered N2303NE along with the first E170 and two E190 registered N3501NE and N3601NE and N3602NE respectivly, all at KSTL.

With these orders, you may possibly see the retirement of the BAE 146-300 from our fleet and the Boeing 747-400ER along with the 747-400ERF. There is a slight possibility that the BAE 146-300 will be converted to freighters. However the 747-400ER's and 747-400ERF's could be replaced with the 777 with no problems and would also simplify our fleet. They are more expensive to opperate and in the case of the 747-400ERF, the 777-200LRF can actually carry more for less money! We however will keep a small fleet of two 747-400ERF's.

This order would bring our current fleets to: two 777-200LR's, six 777-200LRF's, seven 777-300ER's, six 717-200's, three ERJ-145XR, four 170's, and three 190's.

North Eastern Airways is announcing that North Eastern Express will be retiring there fleet of five, BAE 146-300 aircraft. They will be replaced with our fleet of eight Boeing 717-200 aircraft. NEX has also taken delivery of its two Boeing 717-200 Aircraft today.

North Eastern Airways is announcing at this time, we will be putting our two Boeing 747-400ER aircraft into storage at this time. We will be holding on to them for the possibility to have them converted into frieghters. However, even though we have stopped opperations with them, the 747 wont be out of our fleet for long, we still are the launch customer for the 747-8I and 747-8F, with delivery stated for late 2009.

Press Release: August 7th, 2008

North Eastern Airways (NEA, S.M.- NAW) is sad to announce that the 747-400 days are now limited with us. A date has been finally set for the retirement of our two last 747-400ER aircraft. They have gradually been phased out of services, and on August 19th, 2008 they will cease operations completely. The last flights will be the ones they flew the most on. N2201NE will fly NEA4025 between Pittsburgh and London Heathrow then NEA4026 back to Pittsburgh. N2202NE will fly NEA4015 from Pittsburgh to Athens Greece then will fly NEA4016 back to Pittsburgh. Both Flights will land at the same time using Runways 10L and 10C.

NEA4016 will leave Athens approx. one hour before NEA4026. The Two are set to arrive around 4:30Pm, and will then taxi to a ramp. Where once there, the passengers will be deplaned, and bused to the terminal or will stay at the ramp and take part in a Ceremony open to the public and to all staff of North Eastern Airways. The 19th of August will not be a sad day, but a day filled of joy and a new beginning for North Eastern Airways as we reveal our second Boeing 777-300ER aircraft that was the aircraft chosen to replace the 747's.

The Plane will arrive after the two flights land and will taxi to the ceremony and will be put on display with the 747’s. We chose the 777-300ER to replace the 747-400ER because of it being a more environmentally friendly aircraft compared with the 747. There will be a slight decrease in capacity, but in the long run will be a benefit. Though we are retiring the 747 in a eight days, it won’t be out of our fleet for very long. We are still the launch customer for the Brand new 747; the 747-8I and 747-8F which will be delivered in the mid-late part of 2009.

Also in NEA news, we are announcing that our fleet of seven BAE 146-300 aircraft that operated for North Eastern Express have been retired and are currently up for sale and 4.5 million each. Their replacement aircraft will be the New E190 aircraft and Boeing 717 aircraft that have been delivered in the last few weeks.

North Eastern Airways (NEA; S.M.-NAW)has started to downsize and renew the fleets completely, starting with the the Cargo fleet.

NEC is proud to announce that we have recieved our Fourth Boeing 777-200LRF aircraft. WE are the largest user of this aircraft, own half of all the 777F's made!

NEA is currently the largest Tri-engine opperator around. We have twenty DC-10-30F's, five 727-200Fadv's, one MD-11F's in our cargo fleet and five 727-200adv and four MD-11's in our passenger fleets totaling 35 tri-engine jets in our fleet. We will be replacing ten Dc-10-30F aircraft with 5-10 MD-11F aircraft and upgrading the other ten Dc-10-30F to MD-10-30F's. We will also be retiring our four Boeing 747-400ERF's and replacing them with five Boeing 777-200LRF's, which we have already aquired four of the five.

NEA is also selling two MD-11's that were replaced with MD-11ER aircraft.

On the 15th, our two Boeing 747-400ER's did there last two roundtrips. They both were successful, and netted 50+ million dollars total. After the landings of the two, was the landing of our second Boeing 777-300ER aircraft that replaced them. It was then off to the Ceremony that was being held at the 9-11th airwing which was open to the public, where one of the 747's was handed over to American Harmony Virtual Airlines. NEA is still the launch customer for the Boeing 747-8I and 747-8F aircraft in mid-late 2009.

Also the Bae-146-300 aircraft were put up for sale.
