Flight aborted msg beta client v2.4-b03

Hi there,

Anyone else having problems with the latest beta client and GSX?

I've had at least 3 flight aborted messages for no reason while on arrival or departure and using GSX menus to choose the push back or gate assignment.

In the meantime, I'm back to v2.3.3

I think its the new code I added to detect changes in aircraft model while in flight, I sent. you a PM with instructions on how to email me the clients debug file so I can confirm it and fix the problem. One person already sent me one and I can see an issue already.

any update on this one? i have several pilots reporting that their flights are being aborted, becomes frustrating for them especially its a long haul flight

There are two situations I have seen, one is already fixed in b04 and the other I am working on something for b05 but have not confirmed my fix works yet. Hopefully this weekend.

Hi there, I have the same issue with the beta.
I just realised that it is also due to GSX as I had the flight aborted message when I selected the gate in GSX.

You said it happened after selecting gate, does that move the AC within the sim when you do that? If so that might be your problem.

FYI - the same thing will happen if one makes a flight plan in FSX with a gate different from where the airplane is at and then says YES when the flight planner asks if you want to move to the starting position of the flight plan.

It is vital that the Client be the last thing to start AFTER the flight plan is filed in your sim (if you do that) and/or any movements to the departure gate.

If a pilot changes gates after the Client is running, I think the Client see's that as an "illegal slew" and aborts the flight.

Hi Joe,

No just selected the gate in GSX at LFPG, to get the marshaller.
It also happened twice in short final at Dublin

I've also had the issue and by Joe's suggestion, "forcing" the client to use FSUIPC instead of SimConnect, did the job for me.

Flight aborted is causing me pilots some of my pilots are leaving me due to this issue. very difficult to explain to them as we don't exactly know how to explain nor how to solve this issue. I hope the flight ABORTED be removed for now and instead of entirely aborting everything the flight will just be marked as CHEAT or something without aborting the flights

Just go back to the current stable client - there is no reason to quit FSAirlines over a beta version

Hi Cat (my ex was named Kath, so i'll try not to get emotional, hehe) , you may have misunderstood (you bet she did), i'm not quitting FSAIRLINES, so far despite all these issues, Joe has been responsive (unlike Kath, who gave me silent treatment) and that's an assurance that things will be solved.

Going back to the topic, I believe the flight aborted issue is also present in the stable release. correct me if i'm wrong.
