Client Not Calculating (hrs) Properly

Post by Cat » Sat Feb 29, 2020 1:47 pm

Just noticed this one with one of our new pilots.....

When does one hour, 31 minutes = 2 hours? When the FSA Client / XP10 calculates the logbook hours.

Image

flight/pilot data also shows Client 2.3.3/Win/FSUIPC/XP10

Time calculation in XP is a bit of a problem, mainly because XPUIPC does not give total time since the flight started, independent of changes to simulator time, we have to figure it out by comparing UTC time from start and end of the flight and changes in the system clock or using time acceleration can mess it up.

I do worry about XPUIPC, the people who maintained it seam to have disappeared and I am not certain what is going to happen the next time XP has a major release.

Yup that would make sense, as here is another one

54 mins = 1.2 flight hours

In both cases, the pilots in question are using XP.
