Hi guys I'm not sure if it's just me, But i cant get the latest update to show up as a plug in in my FS.

I tried everything to re installing deleting the old one to running FS as admin. Nothing. Now i have to run it as a separate program to get it to work!

What environment are you running?

Any new "hidden fee's" relating to logged crashes we are not seeing with the new client?

Our books are now off by $249,100 compared to FSA and we cannot find the discrepancy. We did have a new pilot log an out of fuel/crash flight that lost 8,100 after multiplier.... but it sure seems like our account was hit for more than that overall cash on hand amount we show we should have $249,100 more than FSA overall airline balance is. We usually balance our books to the dollar daily, but the CFO was busy for 2 days and we flew a ton of short flights to build our airline reputation back up quickly. Just curious as our CFO is still comparing flight by flight reports to our own independent books.

I can't confirm it yet, but it might be because I have been working on some code to identify low fuel usage based on fuel/distance ratios. We identified two flights, both E195 flights flown 2019-02-09 and the fuel usage on these flights was recalculated. I am not certain if those two flights would explain the number you quoted,

I see the one has been adjusted but not the other E195 on the aircraft in question.. XPlane 11 ... sure wish they would get their act together. I monitor most of our flights for "real world fuel burn" and have found a couple of pilots in the past "pushing the envelope" by changing their aircraft .cfg files and told them to knock it off and readjust them to match real world numbers.

How far back is your tool looking at this problem? We may just have to put in a MISC FSA EXPENSE number as finding each one changed without getting any kind of notification from FSA as to what has been changed is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Thanks!

PS - I agree with the theory of the new fuel tool, although I do think it needs some tweaking to show either airline auto message notification and/or red flag at top THIS FLIGHT FUEL USE HAS BEEN RED FLAGGED AND MODIFIED TO MEET MINIMUM FUEL REQUIREMENTS. That way, virtual airlines like ours who run our own separate financial books based on FSA numbers have a fighting chance to keep those books balanced.

Ahhh found the other one, yep those two changes are the difference, we balance out again. Thanks...

Embraer is pretty tight lipped on their fuel use numbers only touting savings vs competition, but my calcs match yours in that an E195 should be in the 4200-4500 lbs per hour category, certainly not down where XPlane 11 has it .... Hopefully the pilot in question knows how to adjust XPlane 11 fuel burn numbers within the program to get his plane within acceptable parameters. Good catch .. having never flown one in the real world or simulator, I didn't realize just how big those next gen regional jets are. For sure it will burn more way fuel than my beloved little CRJ2 and right now he's below that.

My initial scan went back 60 days, my initial pass found some interesting results, for some reason airbus reports the A330-200F as having a 4000nm range while the A330-200 has a 7800 nm range, despite that both having the same fuel capacity and the F is lighter, so in that case some false positives were flagged. I ended up increasing the F’s range to match the normal A332.

Adding the notifications is something I have considered for some time , I have held off as some users get very irate when they learn a bunch of there flights have just been adjusted but it should be done and I will add it to the todo list.

Like you X-plane is a mystery to me. I have tried to use there aircraft editor but have gotten scared off by it. It’s so much easier to do simple tweaks in the MSFS sims.

In the past someone’s flight would finally cross the line and show up in the flagged for review and we see a bunch more flights that were just at the line and very much separated from everyone else and I would batch adjust all of them. Hopefully with this new formula that will happen less often.

Some simmers just don't know much about the real aircraft they are flying and can call ignorance as defense and have it plausible. We try to stay self policed as most of our pilots fly or have flown real aircraft at some point. I need to be more diligent and start looking up specs on any new aircraft a pilot requests and watch carefully from first flights to ensure fuel burn is to realistic levels. Sorry about that. It took me forever to try to find something on the E195 ...... I finally used Embraer's claim to be 24% less than competitive aircraft so I based numbers on that and ended up with almost the exact number your adjusted flights came out to. 4300-4500 lbs per hour.

The XP 738 is skating by as the 737-800MAX which boasts a fuel savings over the NG but in reality we don't own any MAX jets so they are coming in around 1000 lbs an hour too light. All XPlane aircraft are too light on the fuel and there are many XP forums discussing the very topic as it frustrates the hell out of virtual airline operators everywhere who are after real world numbers, so it's not just FSA.
