X Plane - Parking brake issue

I am 'experimenting' with X Plane 10 and I would like to know how other users deal with the fact that ANY application of the brakes seems to flag the Parking Brake as being set.
This seems to mean that on landing as soon as you apply brakes the Client sees it as 'End of Flight'. I have completed one flight but to do so I used reverse thrust to slow down and did not touch the brakes until I had reached a parking spot. This flight was done using x Plane 9 but 10 seems to behave in the same way.
Am I missing the obvious here?

So........... nobody uses X Plane. That's a puzzle.
