737-400 Combi incorrect pax

Post by VegasTim » Mon May 07, 2012 7:48 pm

Hi Guys,

I just ordered a 737-400 combi off the "out of production" list and discovered the passenger capacity is way off. The 737-400 combi holds 4 737 freight containers (up to 6000 lbs each) in the front and 72 passengers in the back. FSA stats for type #597 737-400 Combi indicates 189 pax.

Here's the specs from Alaska Airlines:

The 737-400C, like many Combi's can be configured however the airline wants. All it takes is a night in the hangar to move the cargo bulkhead and install the additional seating rows. As such, Boeing and the FAA list the maximum seating as 189. All you have to do is set the passenger capacity you want for your airplanes on delivery using the Seating Arrangement function on the right side of the screen for each of your aircraft to match how you wish to have it arranged.

Ahhhhhh......grasshopper see the light .... ... maybe....I'm still not used to the seat config thinking I have to max out the seating.....

So if I've finally "got it", then the cargo shipped should approach the 11kg max with only 72 pax on board.....provided there is enough cargo at the departure location to ship.

At the FSA posted cargo space of 11K kg = 24251 lbs that would equal 4 freight containers at max weight each plus bags/mail in the lower holds .... perfect.
