Client and Squawk Box

Probably a simple mistake I'm making, but when I start the client before a flight, the "Flights" "Aircraft" and "Modules" tabs in FS9 grey out, and I cannot access Squawk Box through the modules menu if I am flying on VATSIM.

This means I have to open Squawk Box as an independent program which is annoying, because then each time I need to refer to SB or respond to a controller or another pilot via text, or find a freq., I have go leave my flight, go to SB, then come back to my flight.

This does not affect the client's recording of my flight or progress, but I don't think it should happen. I have searched the forums for a fix, and not finding one, begin to suspect that this might be only my problem.

I'm running XP, with the latest service pack, the latest version (registered) of FSUIPC, AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual core 5600+ at 2.81 Ghz, 4 GB ram, NVIDIA GeForce 8600GTS video card, and FS9.

Those menu tabs are disabled by the client to prevent various cheating methods being utilised whilst flying on FSAirlines.
I fly on VATSIM with the FSA client using the FSInn client instead of Squawkbox.

thanks. I had actually thought it might be deliberate to stop mid-air refueling, etc, but it sure is inconvienent. I've never used FSInn, but if I'm going to keep flying with FSAirlines, I might have to investigate. I appreciate the response.

Simple Ive used SB since I joined FSA. Start SB first! simple... and effective.

hi, just a question about SB, when ever i play with it on FSX my FSX freezes and shuts down, has anyone had this problem in the past??

Are you using Version 4 ? Version 3 does not work with FSX.
