Ariane 737-800 landing lights penalty

Post by MadJosch » Mon Aug 24, 2009 6:41 pm

Hi Folks!

I searched the forum but I didn't find an answer to my problem:

I tried out my new Ariane 737-800 (FSX) with FSAirlines and got dinged for "Landing Lights off below 1000 feet" in the moment the plane is airborne, although they were turned on. I checked it too in the outside view. The client seemed not to recognise them ("Landing Lights: false").
What can I do? I'd like to fly that model instead of the standard FSX type.

Thanks
Jörg

I dont have FSX but what i do in cases like that is to install a light switch from another aircraft that the client recognises, preferably the default aircraft.

I'll do some testing on the model and get back to you to see if there is an easy fix.

Edit: I did a small test flight with it and the client registered that they were on. It might have been an issue on your end

You see me helpless. :-/
Might it be the Flight Simulator interface? (i.e the choice of FSUIPC or SimConnect?)

How did you turn the lights on? Using a key command or using the panel? If it was by using the panel, the issue may lie there.

With the landing lights turning through a panel i have a had a couple of pilots say to me about that in the level-D 767. That if they use the panel the client does not register the landing lights turning off..

so alasizon you are most prob correct. Although they are both paywere i belive they are diffrent aircraft.

Thats right, I used the virtual cockpit and clicked the switches there.
You mean it might work when I use the keystroke instead?

...gone testing... ;-)

EDIT:
It seems that the Ariane 737 doesn't respond to the major keystrokes such as ctrl-L for landing lights. On the "L" key (for toggle all lights) only the wheel well lights react :-(

still testing....

The external model may not respond but it would be picked up on FSA with those commands.

That's it! I will have to remember to click the switches AND press ctrl-L but this is working! Thanks for your help! :-D
