problems with fuel accuracy

Post by eastern021 » Tue Jul 14, 2009 7:44 pm

I am experiencing a problem with the "actual" ammount of fuel lising in the client window. I have loaded exactly 150,000kgs of fuel.......I take off as I normaly do.....then in the climb the client tells me that I only have 124,000kgs. Please help.

Well....as near as I can tell, it happens sometime between holding short of the runway and a minute or two after lift off while climbing out. I load my fuel while holding short of the runway...then taxi onto the runway and take off. I am usually busy monitoring my speed and altitude during lift off...then when I am sure that it is safe, I turn off my landing lights and check on the client window to see if it is displaying "false" on the landing lights. That is when I notice that my fuel quantity has changed.

I figured it out! Man, I am so stupid!. I was trying to put 50,000kgs in a tank that only holds 38,000kgs. It would have been nice if the client would have told me that I could not do that.

The client does and should not allow you to put more fuel into a tank than your FS Model allows. I've never had it allow it.

Actually it doesn't allow but with a minor nuance
It will allow you to put max amount available for the tank.
So, if your tank capacity is 1500 kgs and you tried to put 15000 kgs. It will take 1500kgs.

I think what he tried to say was client can somehow warn the fuel guy that the capacity is less than (s)he is trying to load.
