Problem with map loading on website:
When I try and look at the routes departing from one of my hubs my internet hangs for about 5 minutes and then gives me an error massage saying "this web page is running a script that will efect system preformance" or something to that matter. The problem has also been reported to me by Mozilla and Firefox users (I am on internet explorer).
Perhaps having a map of flight routes is really unnessecary? It takes too much of my time up... I cant even look at all my flights anymore to go in and edit them. I know it's the script for loading the map becuase all the flights have loaded and the the map is blank (no red lines) and that's where the problem is.
Thanks for checkin into it

Re: Problem with map loading on website
It is because you have alot of flights and therefor takes along time to load all the data maybe try loading with an airport ID AND aircraft type it may improve loading times

Hi,
Yes the map is a problem, both on the flightplan page as well as the log book page. If you have a small number of flightplans or logbook entries then the loading is usually OK but as soon as there is a lot of data to crunch then the slow script message appears. I think the map should be disabled/binned and be replaced by downloadable KML files for Google Earth. The KML file can already be downloaded for the flightplans so a similar one for the logbook might be of value to some. I think ditching the flightplan and log book maps might also offload the server a bit too.
Regards
John

Yes this really annoys me, too. I think we'll have to limit the numbers of displayed routes.
There is also a new Google Earth plugin, which is in 3d and looks to be more performant. Maybe someone knows more about it?!

Can't load my pilot logbook and it takes painstakingly long for the flight plans (all) to become visible???
My explorer crashes completely and Firefox freezes up for a little while (while trying to load the script)
