New Client Question

Post by vaccaro » Sat Jan 03, 2009 1:55 pm

Hi,
I have tried the new client v1.1.3 today.
TFFR - MKJP, A332 (FS2004). http://fsairlines.net/index.php5?status ... 065&p=1490
All went smooth. I have just noticed at website though. The touchdown speed was 0 fps, although I rarely do such good landings I think there is something wrong with that. 2 clients before it was n/a (as far as I remember).

Thanks for the new client.

Cheers,
Arslan

You're right I've seen some reports with 0fpm. Seems like this is not very reliable at the moment, I will have a look at it.

Second question. This time about "detailed fuel" :)

The old client used to remember the amount of fuel in the a/c. The new one instead shows the fuel actually loaded.
Is that a bug or is that normal?

When i was flying right now - I am flying EGLL-LTBA Client was showing data from FS but i can not see my flight on active flight while on cruise. But when i was descent or climb i can see on active flight.

What's the problem!

Yes that's normal now. The old client remembered the amount of fuel but didn't set it in FS if you didn't clicked on "fuel up". And people just clicked on next, but still had a different amount of fuel actually loaded. So, to not confuse people anymore it now always shows the amount of fuel loaded in FS. If you want to know how much fuel you have from the last flight you can look at the "fuel...initially" value in the box on the lefthand side.

I have noticed that initial fuel thingy. I wasn't just sure if the behaviour of client was a bug or on purpose.
All clear now :).
I need to improve my maths a little bit :p.

Do you use simrate?
If using simrate, the fligth will not be showed as "Acive flights" but "Booked Flights".
My guess is, that ou are not using simrate in descent's and climb's, but on cruise.

Hope this helps :D

the simrate shouldn't have any influence on whether your flight is shown on the flight monitor or not. The client used to only send a position report to the website if the flightstate was changed, but the current version should behave different. If your have the "tracker" activated in the options your position should always be shown correctly.
