Ticket factor changes? 737-200 adv?
Was ticket factor changed on 737-200 ADV? If so, can the airlines please be notified of changes before they happen? we had a pilot fly 4 flights tonight on the 737-200ADV ( B73Q ) and lose money on all of them even with pretty good fuel planning. So my question would be, was ticket factor taken off the 737-200ADV? (It used to be 1.25) Thanks

Re: Ticket factor changes? 737-200 adv?
I just looked at his last flight and he's burning WAY too much fuel. He shouldn't be burning more than 6000#/hr and he's burning over 9000#/hr. That's where the problem is. His fuel planning is right for what he's using, but I think that you guys need to be looking at a new flight model or maybe slowing down a bit and flying ECON cruise (.72 or .74 MACH) instead of MAX cruise (.76 or .78 MACH).
For example, I flew a flight from the UK to the Canary Islands a month or so ago in a 737-200Adv. On that 4.6 hour flight, flown at 0.74 MACH, I burned just over 25,600LBS. That averages out to about 5500#/hr. This is what I would expect to see from a 737-200Adv. 9000#/hr is more what I'd expect to see from a 727-200 with JT8D-9's (the early, low-thrust version fitted compared to the JT8D-17's on the 737-200Adv and 727-200Adv).

I agree he's using too much fuel...
The question remains... did the ticket factor for the 737-200 series get nerfed somehow??
I'd like to be able to make a post on my personal VA's forums as such... if it was.

Hi Brian,
Echo-ing CT's message, you need to look at the fuel burn on the aircraft that you are using and adjust it closer to where it should be by making small reductions on the fuel scalar in the aircraft.cfg file. Don't try and go below expected fuel burn for the type otherwise it will throw up the flights as a 'Cheat' if you use too little fuel - and you don't want to go there.
Regards
John

Re: Ticket factor changes? 737-200 adv?
It's not me flying the aircraft so I can't say wether or not the guys even flying it properly before I go adjusting air files
But the flight did not record the normal ticket factor of 1.25 that this aircraft type had... which is the whole point of this post... fuel burn or aircraft preformance has nothing to do with my question...
was the ticket factor removed from the 737-200 ADV?

Yes, it has been removed. It may go back later, but there are discussions going on with the staff on the issue and wider strategy on the application of the Ticket Factor as we've now had some time with it in effect.

OK.. thanks. I don't mind a challenge
We gotta either manage our routes it's on better, or fly it better, but that's our problem now

was it removed on all aircraft? was just looking through the aircraft and just happened to look at the concorde and it didnt have one either and that is a plane that cant fly without one...CAPFlyer wrote:Yes, it has been removed. I just looked and it says that it has a Ticket Factor of 6.0. Remember, the ticket factor has been moved to the client now, so the ticket factor will only be computed by the client when it detects which airplane you're flying. All tickets for all flights set as "standard" will not include the ticket factor.

Dunno. That's a Joe/Konny question.
