Problems accessing the site and forums

Post by danmand » Tue Dec 30, 2008 3:31 pm

Hi.

I've been having trouble accessing FSAirlines.net the last few days. I've been getting an error that says something about "mysql". Sorry, I don't have a more specific error message.

Has anyone else been having this trouble or is it just me? If it's me, can anyone suggest a way to solve it?

Thanks

Dan

Yes indeed. I have had that problem for two days in a row. The first one after finishing a 6-hr flight SCEL-SVMI and after landing and parking I could not get thru. Yesterday I repeated the flight but when ready to depart I could not login. In both occasions the message was the same as yours: something myqsl related.
Meanwhile, Happy New Year for everyone.

Thanks for the reply. At least I know it's not my connection.
Any idea why it's happening? Updates perhaps?

Not a clue Daniel. I am using the latest version of the client.

I have the error too. It's definately to do with the site, not your PC. I'm sure the guy's will get to fix it at somepoint. You'll just have to fly offline for a bit.

Happy Christmas and New Year to everyone.

Could one of the admins tell us what seems to be the problem, I've now flown the same flight from FNLU to SBNT TWICE and the client has failed to acknowledge it!! The forums and the client seemed to be working when I took off, but I got no confirmation of flight(s).

If you completed the flight and the website or server was not available, you will be allowed to save the flight to be uploaded when the servers are back up.

We do not know the source of the problem at this time, however it seems a periodic reboot of the mySQL server is temporarily fixing the problem, so that is what is being done until the source of the problem can be identified.

Also, I can note personally that there have been several other websites and servers affected in the last couple of days with a nearly identical problem so the belief on those sites is that this may be a problem with the server software or a deliberate attack on mySQL servers of a certain release. I am sure that the whole story will be found out and a fix applied before too long.

One of those flights I mentioned did have the option in the client to upload, but it didn't work. I tried several times. Thanx for the update, I hope things turn around soon :)

ok can everybody that is having problems post here who their service provider is? i use comcast.

the reason i ask this is because last week, comcast was having some problems that affect world of warcraft and a game that i play, Aces high 2. im wondering if this has something to do with it because i even tried at my sister's house who also uses comcast and it was happening.

Read the news on FSAirlines front page - Nothing to do with ISP's.
the server issues we had the last days are fixed now :)

As was noted above, the front page has a note that the problems have been solved, I already stated in this thread that the problems were with our mySQL server, so there is no further need for discussion.
