Income problem..

Post by Tac356 » Tue Dec 16, 2008 8:52 pm

Every time I make a flight and purchase fuel the client only adds up the expenses and non of the profit so most my flights turn into to flights with negative income.

Please Help!

I took a quick look.

You ran out of fuel - "fuel supply exhausted"... when this happens your passengers do not pay the ticket price... you scared the living pennies out of 'em :)

The other flight that show a loss (of your last 5 flown) you bought waaaaaaaaaay to much fuel ... you did receive money for the passengers on that flight, but your fuel purchase was so much.. that it was more than the flight was able to earn.

Block Fuel Fuel bought

You have one more flight (the one where you took 70 pax) that you dumped 40,000lbs + of fuel on for and lost money. Use the flights you have done as a base point now for future fuel purchases. you know that from KTUL - KDEN (your last flight) used about 11023 lbs for 470 nm flight. Fuel your plane accordingly (and add at least 5000lbs extra for delays, missed approaches, or alternate airport). So next time you fly from KTUL to KDEN make sure your plane has about 16000lbs, or slightly more, and you'll never lose money if you buy fuel each flight and only enough to fuel the plane for the flight and leave a small reserve left over. If fuel's really expensive at one airport and not the other you can buy an extra couple thousand pounds and still make money, but your buying almost 4x the amount of fuel needed to do the flight, on the flights you lost money on :)

Income from tickets: PAX (107) x Ticket Price (94v$) 10.058v$
Fuel costs: Fuelprice (1.67v$) x 1.234 x Fuel bought (2000kg / 4409lbs) -4.122v$
Crew & catering costs: -535v$
Cargo income: 0.97v$/100nm x Distance (321nm) x Cargo (1606kg / 3541lbs) 5.002v$
Bonus 0v$
Pilot salary: Airline Income x Pilot salary percentage 0v$

Gross profit: -4.656v$
x Multiplier (1000) -4.656.000v$

Client: v1.0.4

ok heres what I was talking about my cargo income alone covered my fuel and crew cost and I still got a negative profit even though I should have made aroumd 10,058,000v$.

Departure KPHX \ 05:23

Planned arrival KLAX

Arrival KPHX \ 06:32

Distance 321nm

Duration (1.1h) 01:09

seems somehow the client thinks your still in KPHX and that you landed there... thereby resulting in no income from the flight.. which is odd, becuase - the client shows ytou tavelled 321nm and a time of 1.1h - which is about right KPHX - KLAX... I can't help ya anymore I am just a lowly CEO of another airline that was trying to analize... this one's beyond me it looks like you did the flight yet the client reported you landing at KPHX.

Usually if it shows you landed at your departure airport it means that you did one of the following before ending the flight in FSAirlines -

1) You reset the flight
2) You closed Flight Simulator
3) You watched a replay of your landing
4) You ended the flight in Flight Simulator
