Just to clarify a couple of points :-
1. When you divert, the income only gets applied on the final sector when you arrive at your intended destination. Previous sectors will show a negative income due to fuel purchased/catering. Pilot pay only gets taken from income earned on final sector. Maximum original payload is maintained for all subsequent sectors.
2. If you exhaust your fuel supply you will receive no passenger or cargo revenue.
