FSX and MSXML4 SP2 Problem !

After installing Vista update on 12th Nov 08 MS Flight Simulator X deluxe stopped working with the message "The MSXML4 SP2 component is not installed. Please reinstall Flight Simulator to restore or repair the missing component"
I uninstalled Flight Sim X and re installed it .... no change still the same. I then checked to find that the Vista update KB954430 contained guess what?!! MSXML4 SP2 security update marked as important!! "Well done Microsoft " I've tried all the so called fixes on Microsofts site without success !
When I tried to install FSUIPC I received a message " Problem. Cannot edit the DLL.XMLfile to activate FSUIPC. Please check the documentation and do this manually"

Hope someone can help ! I cant be the only one with this problem
