Thanks.

I guess I will still have to use the standard number calculator.

As a note for other pilots. Simply divide the weights in client by 0.45. This will convert kg to lbs.

Actually you multiply kg by 2.2 to get lbs.

I think you will find that dividing KG by 0.45359 and multiplying KG by 2.20462 both work. :)

2000 kg \ 0.45359 = 4409 LBS

2000 kg x 2.20462 = 4409 LBS

Hello,

Is it possible to have weight already in lbs if the profile is set to lbs (in the briefing page) ?

Pita.

As a new member this was really confusing for me. I went to fly my fist flight and hand to spend quite a bit of time researching why my weight and fuel was in KG and not lbs.

If this can’t be addresses in the client then I would at least suggest adding this to the FAQ’s so that other new pilots joining don’t suffer the same amount of confusion that I did.

Does it really matter why? It's all over all of your documentation in the client that the weights are in KG, so as long as it's stated, can't you just account for that?

Capflyer,

come on man. there's no reason for that harsh and rude reply to someone who stated a fact. It's confusing.. even to those of us who have been using this for 2 years. This has come up numerous times yet nothing has been done. How hard would it be to add into the cli8ent the option for it to show in pounds and not KG? If the entire website can be (through pilot profile settings) then why not the client? Simple question... no need for a harsh and abrasive answer.

Again, it's on the list. It's not confusing either. We state in all locations where it's by KG when it's by KG. Yes, you have to do the conversions, but again, there is nothing confusing about it when it's DECLARED. Now, I could understand if we didn't put "KG" next to it, but we do.

I guess it gets back to the basic premise of a USER versus a DEVELOPER. The USER doesn't need to know "why", only "what" is needed to be put in to get the results he needs. We've given him the "what", but it is being suggested that the USER needs to know "why" and that it's confusing if it doesn't. This is the first time anyone has said anything about being confused about what to put into a field where it's declared what is required.
