End of flight bug. Admins please help

Post by Albert Slovak » Wed Oct 29, 2008 6:55 pm

Good day dear admins.
We have a problem with ending of flight function for our virtual company.
Here is history.
1. 22.10.2008 I registered new company with name "BelaviaV Belarusian Airlines" and with ICAO code - BRU
2. 22.10.2008 I've made 1st flight without any bugs and probs
3. 23 and 25.10.2008 another 2 flights without any bugs also
4. 25th after flight was finished I found that company had been renamed by admin to VA3 and with explanation of reasons of renaming
5. 25.10.2008 I sent logo and company confirmation letter to Chris with request to rename back our company but with name "Belavia Virtual Belarusian Airlines" as I received permission for usage logo and name from real company 8 years ago. It's done by Chris and we got name and ICAO code as requested.

After this we have problem with ending of flight.
All flight status and data which sending and receiving from DB is correct. That means flight status during the flight as "In hangar", "Taxiing", "Climb", "Cruise" and "Landed" - correct. But when flight is finished, just after applying "End flight" button we getting Error message from win XP, module is closing and flight not registering (flight status again "In Hangar", pilot and aircraft at departure airport and not at destination).

At start we're think that it's client (FSA module) problem, but later we decide to register diffirent company to check is it problem with module or sim, or with DB. So, with new company name and ICAO code everything was Ok.

Could you please check our company data (BELAVIA Virtual Belarusian Airlines [6761]) and fix it, or if you need you can delete all records about our company (and pilots if needed) and I will re-register company.

Thanks and BRGDS,
Albert

Albert, I understand your want for resolution to this matter, but it does not help the matter any by posting everywhere your need. As I said in the e-mail to you, Joe and/or Konrad will take a look at the problem and get back to you when they find something out. Please be patient. This is not a simple matter and thus is not something that can necessarily be fixed in just a few moments.

Hi Albert,

I think I figured out the problem here. The client is having problems with the length of your airline name. I made a patch to the interface to prevent this. Please feel free to try again and see if you have any more problems.
