a/c wear. maybe another bug
a/c wear. maybe another bug
Hi again,
Thanks for taking care of "engine 1" problem.
Now I think we have another issue with a/c wear.
I have noticed that with the client v103 only the engines have wear but nothing happens neither to gear nor to hull.
You can see my last 3 flights (all different a/c) here. All flown within the limits of each a/c.
A300 is HNAC, A320 is ProjectAirbus and B757 is PSS

Hmm, thats odd, my gear and hull are wearing down even with -50 ft/m landings.

I think Joe lowered the a/c wear a bit because it was to high before.

Maybe my piloting skills are improving.

ya this is happening to me too... engine is down to around 98% but hull and gear are still at 100 after 6 or 7 flights...

Re: a/c wear. maybe another bug
Actually, that should be about normal as long as you're not making a lot of heavy landings. The real airplane's hull and gear don't get any major service except for the D-Checks, so why should they deteriorate in just 6 or 7 flights? The engines however have a much lower "Mean Time Between Failures" and much shorter maintenance period, so it would make sense that your engines would be the primary reason to need to service your airplane as they're the parts that are supposed to wear down the fastest (next to brakes and tires).
Re: a/c wear. maybe another bug
Thanks for the explanations. All 3 a/c were in 100% conditions and those flights were the first ones so I didn't notice the wear until I have made 2 flight

Re: a/c wear. maybe another bug
I just looked at the code and it appears we forgot to add the section that records damage to the hull. Hopefully we will remember that for the next version.

Re: a/c wear. maybe another bug
Not quite fully relevant to the topic but based on views of my aircraft at different times, it seems the percentages from gear and hull switch around.
Ex:
93.53% Hull
96.22% Gear
Next day:
96.22% Hull
93.53% Gear
Ex:
93.53% Hull
96.22% Gear
Next day:
96.22% Hull
93.53% Gear

I thought maybe I was going crazy, had to screen shot it to make sure.

Matt..
I've seen the same too and presumed it was just me writing the info down incorrectly It's not so much the next day but at the end of the flight. Check the figures before the start then check em again at the end. They will have reversed
