Dears developers: We have this problem:
In our VA, we got 11 "Boeing 737-900ER", and all our pilots flight using PMDG or Wilco models, all work fine with flynet... but now with FSA, said: wrong aircarft.
That is very, very serious problem for us... because we had a system working well for months, and not now.
We can´t stop the use of PMDG or Wilco, cause all our pilots spend money buying that licences.
We can´t sell our planes, and buy right models because is not our mistake is responsibility of FSA.
So, can we do about it?
Thanks for your attention.
PD: I already search and read all about it in this forum, but don´t found how we can solve this.

Re: Atention Developers: Problem with wrong aircraft
You could've posted in the Wrong Aircraft thread just a few below this one.
From what I've read in that thread, you have to check the number of engines for the simulation models to see if there are two engines on the Boeing 737-900ER, or whether an APU has been programmed as an engine (this might be fixed in the new client).
Checking the weights in the aircraft configuration and seeing if they match up with the FSA database (which may or may not be wrong) can also solve the solution. Just manually change the aircraft configuration so the values are more realistic, or if the database is wrong, submit a database change. From my experiences with Wilco, their products are often bugged and little issues like this may have been overlooked. PMDG should be right on the money for the most part, so we'll have to see what's wrong with the model.

I double checked our database values for the B737-900 and B737-900ER and boeings specifications and they are correct. The max weight in your aircraft model is probably off, read here as how to fix it.

That solve the problem, thanks.
I set in aircraft.cfg of my Wilco 737-500 FSX:
Thanks again.
I set in aircraft.cfg of my Wilco 737-500 FSX:
Code: Select all
max_gross_weight= 187700 // according FSA database

Well there's your problem. Your using a 737-500 model when you should be using a 737-900. That is the very thing its trying to prevent.

Re: Atention Developers: Problem with wrong aircraft
Yes but, we have eleven B737-900ER running well with Wilco-737-500 before FSA change that, and that was a BIG problem for us. Thanks god, the problem was solved... we can´t stop of use Wilco 737 and we can´t sell all our aircraft.

Alexander,
You're failing to understand the problem here. The 737-500 and 737-900ER are totally different aircraft. What you are doing is going against not only the rule of FSAirlines, but the spirit. If you want to use the Wilco 737-500, then buy 737-500s. Don't buy 737-900ERs that can hold DOUBLE the passengers as a 737-500 and then only pay for the operating expenses (fuel) of a 737-500 which burns quite a bit less fuel than the 737-900ER.
