new test flight with client v102

Post by vaccaro » Tue Sep 23, 2008 9:32 am

On behalf of Air Mermaid Cargo (CargoMer) I have done a test flight with the new client (v.102).

Pirep details as follows
http://remote.fsairlines.net/v1/pirepde ... ?id=175029

Flt. No.: 9Z C770, RPLB - VHHH
a/c : Airbus A310-304ET Cargo, RP-C9021 (CLS model with Overland panel)
* pushback via Shift+P
* startup via Ctrl+E
* landing, I assume around 500 - 600 fpm.
* shutdown via Ctrl+Shift+F1

Observations:
* No cargo loss.
* Info on landing lights and parking brakes OK.
* Client or website fall asleep during flight because I have seen the flight as "in hangar" while client showed "descent" (in real it was descent).
* a/c state has still the same problem. Only engine No1 gets low (not exagerated this time) but others reamin the same
http://remote.fsairlines.net/v1/acdetai ... &id=175029
* I don't remember seing the landing fps report after finishing the flight.

Cheers,
Arslan

Hi Arslan :)

Interesting that still only one engine is showing wear. Were both at the same level prior to this flight??

Hello Dave,
Yes, the a/c was 100% before flight.

Rgr that and thanks :wink:

Looking at the detail again.. gear and hull are still at 100% :roll:

There's another fix for the next update!! :D Considering the old client was supposed to be so unsatisfactory.. it certainly worked a lot better than what we have at the moment. Would it not be possible to use the old clients calculations on the new client and if not, why not?? :?

I have flown the return leg also.
Unlike previous one this time the client didn't fall asleep :). All went smooth.
But the "only engine 1 showing wear" continues.
Still missing the fuel price and landing fps thingy though.
But I think Air Mermaid will carry on its flights.
Cheers,
Arslan

Hi Guy's..

First flight completed under v1.0.2. I tried a cargo flight this time and am pleased that the flight was correctly paid. Noticed new 'status' on the final 'fly' page before flight (a bit disconcerting as I wasn't expecting it!) and the status had changed on reducing the sim after landing at my destination.

There is still some disparity on airframe wear. Hull and Gear remained the same.. engine 1 dropped from 99.42% to 99.20%.. engines 2 3 and 4 remain at 99.42%. Strange on this flight that the overall airframe percentage has remained the same at 98.8%.. much as I'd have expected on the final FlyNET client after a gentle landing at Rennes.

Happy-ish thus far :wink:

Slightly unrelated..
I'm still finding the 'Main' site unreliable.. pages indicating 'Done' with errors on page and the actual page remaining blank. Logging out and back in again often cures it though :)

After installing the new Client, I had a roundtrip on Simorgh Air 737-900ER enroute Tehran (IKA/OIIE) to Dubai (DXB/OMDB).
The only problem I was faced to was the Aircraft state, after each flight the AC state was decreased because of Eng-1 reduction. However in the new version this reduction is very fewer than the older one and this is an improvement! I hope FSAirlines could become to a stable condition soon.

There are also some problems with the website which I should notice them:

1. Many times the pages are loaded hardly and sometimes I collide to "Cannot find server" error! I have tried some ISPs but the problem is still remained. Even some friends who are connected via ADSL+ connections have reported the same problem!
2. Yesterday when I sent one of aircrafts to A-check, the website cost us 6.300.000$ (in finance section it was shown 3 of 2.100.000$s) instead of usual 2.100.000$ for B739ER A-check!
3. In all pages, little icons are loaded one by one! For instance in VA homepage, all 'Send message' icons are loaded one by one! But they are all one icon and must be loaded in one time!
