v102 is more buggy (IMHO)
v102 is more buggy (IMHO)
Sorry to inform you that this new release is more buggy.
Now it wants FSUIPC 3.82 which is already installed. So I can't even test the client.
Why do we need to code a new client anyway? The old one (flynet client) had fewer bugs but worked at least.
Air Mermaid is stopping all operations until the implementation of a REALLY stable new client or we revert back the old one.
Cheers,
Arslan

Opps, sorry I accidentally cleared the valid FSUIPC version numbers in the database, that should be fixed now.
I've sworn an oath of solitude until the pestilence is purged from the lands.
Re: v102 is more buggy (IMHO)
Testing it now.
Until now all smooth.
Didn't pay attention refuel thingy (price) as the plane had already 20+ tons of fuel.
Lets see if I lose any cargo and more important (at least for me) what will be the a/c state.
Cheers,
Arslan

Hey Guys,
I know the new client is frustrating, but the admins are trying to make this experience better for us all, and development takes time. If we had ALL done some beta testing (me included) many of these issues may have been found earlier before release...
For my two penneth, lets support the admins who give there time freely to give us all a good flight simming experience.
And admins, If you want anyone to do some beta testing, give me a shout

Re: v102 is more buggy (IMHO)
I don't think we are underestimating their efforts and such.
We are also trying to help them to improve. And improvement does not always mean to make something from scratch.
Of course I am not a programmer (not even a good PC user) but I think if there is a possibility to use something existent with a few additions, why not.
Now it gets frustrating because client v100 had a bug which wore engine 1 of any a/c more than normal. New client v102 has the same bug but wore less than previous. But still. I almost crash land my a/c and all I get is 99.96% of eng 1 and a 100% landing gear and hull.
I am not giving my negative comments without testing something. And if a comment is negative it doesn't mean something bad.
Those negative comments are for helping the coders here.
You also don't need any shout. Download the client and test it as we are all doing right now.

Re: v102 is more buggy (IMHO)
im gonna take time out.. tried to complete one flight twice client fails on touch down..what a waist of time .. sorry but my times limited.. hope you sort it soon..
Re: v102 is more buggy (IMHO)
MMattyK is spot on,
We were all asked to try the new client and test it, out of the thousands of flynet users, It was only a handful who bothered to help. These guys are giving up their free time and money to provide this for us all to use. Its not real, its a bit of fun, so get with the program and show some community spirit.
