a/c state

Post by vaccaro » Sat Sep 20, 2008 3:39 pm

Just landed to MZBZ. A320 was 100% when I took off from MKJP and now it is 90%.
Well, I am well known for my bumpy landings but it usually dropped around 4% or 5%.
10% with one flight is a bit exagerated I think.
And a wish for the next client. I think some other user already mentioned.
Please let us see again the in flight status, and the landing status.

Cheers,
Arslan

I have found the reason.
Happens only on Engine 1 and it goes around 96% - 97%.
I am quite sure this is a bug because with previous client usually the gear was suffering more (which is more normal I suppose).
Anyway, I am attaching the state of 6YSFA. As you can clearly see, after the flight and another bumpy landing gear state is still 100% while eng 1 97.92%.

Do you shut down Eng #2 while taxiing to the gate like some airlines do in order to save fuel?

No,
I am a simple guy.
Ctrl+E to start and Ctrl+Shift+F1 to shut down.
Nothing special.
I noticed this in all my last flights with new client.
Now I will try another one to see if same thing would happen.
Cheers,

Does your flight automatically start with engines on or off?

Thats also a negative :)
Always at gate/or stand with eng off.
And weird thing, it is only engine 1.
Nothing happens to gear or hull.

Hi again,
Surely something wrong with the client.
Always engine 1. I have tried this with 3 different a/c (Kittyhawk B737-200, Project Airbus A320 and Overland-SMS B737-900).
Before flight all a/c were in 100% condition. After flight all a/c had engine No1 between 96% - 98%.
It is really weird nothing happens to gear. I am sure my last 2 landings were about -500 fpm.

Cheers,
Arslan

Have you tried flying any 1,3 or 4 engine aircraft?

I've noticed a massive increase in aircraft attrition too. Having just picked up a 1-11 at EGCC on 98.8%, depending on how many flights that aircraft had done at that figure, I'd have expected a short hop to EGAA to give me either 98.8% or 98.7% at worst. The landing at EGAA was a 'Peach' and yet the aircraft dropped to 98.5%.
Having just flown the return (EGAA-EGCC) with another gentle landing, the aircraft has dropped to 98.2%

I think we were all pretty happy with the calculations as they were in the old client and can't see the reason for it to change again. At this point, it's much worse than it was back in the dark days when you could guarantee .1 loss of each flight.. (now running at .3% per flight) :(

Any clue as to why this has been changed??

Same thing also with 3 eng
http://remote.fsairlines.net/v1/acdetails.php?ac=5309

MKJP-MWCR ended with emergency and returned to MKJP. Landing was really hard.
a/c was 100% initially and after landing all 100% except engine 1 which is 97.92%.

As David said, previous client was better on this thing.

Vasilis

My solutions for this (if team agrees of course) are
* to bring back old client and give it the ability for emergencies.
I think old client would solve many more problems.
* revert the multiplier back to the flynet era so that we can afford an A check after each flight.

The old saying 'If it aint broke, don't fix it' springs to mind!! At this point, I'm sure that ALL of our pilots would happily move back to the old client and wait for a 'diversion' fix to be made  I have airframe life dropping like a stone and pilots.. GOOD pilots picking up penalties for things that are not of their doing making them all pretty hacked off.
