a penalty

Post by PTY997 » Thu Jul 17, 2008 12:20 am

what i mean by this is that the main CEO can give pilots penaltys if they do a bad flight and then the pilot has to pay the airline and its up to the CEo to decide the fine which should only be used if the pilot crashes

I don't agree with this. Penalties should be applied the same at all times and all cases for all pilots. To allow CEOs to select individual punishments opens the system to abuse of power that I don't think we need and a lot more hassle for us admins having to resolve disputes between pilots and CEOs over whether a penalty was done fairly. As it is now, the penalties are fair and if you think they were wrong, there is a simple system to have the penalties reviewed and removed if there was a software glitch.

As it is, the new system will automatically "ground" a pilot when they crash and airplane and it will be the decision of the CEOs or responsible parties to "un ground" them, so I don't think there's anything beyond that and the automatic penalties that are needed.
