A330-900 Neo Client and Website DOW disagreement

Post by cs611 » Mon Jun 26, 2023 10:06 pm

Hello, I started getting client notices about exceeding MZFW. In investigating this, I noticed the FSAirlines website and the FSAirlines client disagree on the Dry Operating Weight of the same aircraft. The result is that after loading the aircraft according to my FSAirlines briefing, I am over the MZFW according to the client. Am I doing something wrong or should the client and website DOW match?

See attached.

Ah, I see the issue.

With the new seat configuration tool the weight of aircraft is not consistent, as you add and remove seats the aircraft will be heavier. We assume the DOW in the DB is with a full load of economy seats, which are supposed to weight 20kg each, business and first are 2x and 4x in weight accordingly. If you have fewer seats the aircraft will be less.

But it appears the I forgot to update the client interface, which I will do tonight.

On.a side note someone reported there Concorde is heavier and they can't carry any more packages. Which I think is because I assume the base seats are economy and those you replace are what they are. On a normal 100 pax aircraft you can replace with only 25 first class, so 25 x 80kg - 100 x 20kg = 0kg. But since Concorde is special and you can replace economy to first at 1:1 then 100 x 80 kg - 100 x 20kg = 6000 kg. I guess I need to think about that for a moment.

Thanks Joe for confirming. Glad I am not (completely) crazy!
