I read in the forum that because of the cost of maps, they are limited to premium members only. I signed up for platinum account but on my website they still show a blank square for the map.

Can anyone help me?

As far as I know, there is no maps for anyone, it does not matter be premium or platinum account. I've heard something about an agreement with Google in order to use their maps system, but in the begining that should be so expensive.

Anyway, and for sure, same expert in here will help you better than me.

Map is very important in this game. I know that google try to earn as much as possible, but for us why to not have our map, a jpeg map with corresponding coordinates and to show the flights? Why we are locked to google map?
