Press Release: September 8th, 2008

North Eastern Airways (NEA; S.M.-NAW) is proud to announce that it has recieved eight Brand New E195s on the 5th of the month for our regional services. These aircraft will be based mainly out of our KSTL hub and will fly to the mountain states of the west and the smaller population states that dont require full size aircraft. Also possible is a hub opening in either KSLC or KDEN. If one of those two airports is chosen as a new hub, then those operations based out of KSTL for the thinner routes to the west will be moved to the new hub, which will feed those passengers into our normal opperations. These eight E195's replaced our order for the outstanding orders of E170 and E190 aircraft. Also in NEX news, we have finally scrapped our last BAe-146-300s aircraft from service.

Also in NEA news, We have started our long process of overhauling our route system. It is expected to be completed by December of 2008. First airport that will be done will be KPIT our Main Hub and HQ location. Then will be KPHX, KSTL, KBNA, PANC, KFLL and possible DEN or SLC hub. Currently the only hub that is fully opperational with all flights planned is our North Eastern Hawaii Hub at PHOG, which serves all of the Hawaiian market.

Press Release: October 8th, 2008

NORTH EASTERN AIRWAYS (NEA: S.M.-NAW) IS VERY PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THAT TODAY IS OUR FIRST BIRTHDAY! On this day, NEA was formed using one Boeing 757-300 and 737-800 serving regional flights to the large airports of the north-east and florida. We quickly grew and expanded and after a short time we were able to release all of our leased aicraft and had a fully owned fleet. We have grown from our hub at Pittsburgh Intl to have eight hubs throughout the country and three overseas hubs. We continued to grow and we are now the largest airline based in Pittsburgh, PA, the state of Pennsylvania, and the whole north-eastern part of the country. We are a three-five pilot strong workforce with over 150 fully owned aircraft. We have flown 505 flights carrying 105,000 passengers 484,734nm. We are one of the largest cargo airline around too.

In other news, North Eastern Airways have recieved four brand new 757-200WL's with a further six on order. Three of these aircraft will be painted in the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins colors and will be used to transport the teams to and from their games. When the teams arent using them, they will be put back into the normal fleet until the next year's season. Also NEA corporate division has recieved its second BBJ 1 and its first of two Legacy 600 aircraft.

Also North Eastern Airways has finally completely removed the 747 from all of its fleets.

NEA is announcing at this time that within the next few hours, a possible acquisition of Saturn Airways a European airline may occur. They would be branded under North Eastern Airways' name and fly throughout the European nations.

North Eastern Cargo has reopened its doors and will recomence flights immediatly.

Press Release: October 19th, 2008

NEA has recieved its last three Embrear E600 Legacy jets today from brazil. They are registered N603NE, N604NE and N605NE and they join N601NE and N602NE, which we recieved on the 8th and 17th of this month, in our fleet of five. Our origional plan was to opperate two airframes, but after receiving our first two and seeing how well they preformed we decided to increase the order to a total of five aircraft. These extra three jets will be used to replace our two aging Cessna Citation II's. The Citations were scrapped earlier today. While the Citations were good planes, they lacked the range to connect most of our hubs to one another. The only set of hubs the E600 cant connect is KPIT to PHOG on Hawaii, which is about 600nm out of range. These additional E600s now makes us the largest operator of the type.

Press Release: November 14th, 2008.

North Eastern Airways has been able to continue its downsize in its fleet today when three of the four 737-800's were sold. Two were sold to the Russian Leasing Company, which a few days prior had bought its first Next Generation off of us. This brings their total to five 737-800's which will allow them to increase their overall capacity and give them the extra capacity to be able to expand their route network. There also was a sole 737-800 that was sold to Aerolineas Arg VA. This plane is the very first Next Generation 737 they have every operated. They have a small fleet of two 737's, including a -300 and a -500. This will give them the added capacity they need and will help them expand their routes and capacity overall. We wish both companies good luck with operating their new aircraft. There is still a single 737-800 available on the traders list.

We also have sold a single DC-10-30F to Iceways of Germany. It joins their cargo fleet of a previous DC-10 and a C-130. There are still twelve more DC-10-30F still available for sale on the traders list.

Press Release: November, 21st, 2008.

North Eastern Airways is proud to announce that it has taken delivery of its third 777-300ER. Registered N2306NE, it is entering service with us on its ferry flight back to the United States from Sydney to Pheonix, Arizona. It will be based out of KPHX and will serve the Asian and Oceanic regions. We chose the -300ER over the -200LR because we found a very great deal for a very lightly used one. It only has been used on nine flights, so it still has enough New-plane-smell for use to get it.

We also got a great deal on two new 757-200WL's, which will be put into service out of Pittsburgh once they finish there trip there.

Press Release: November 23rd, 2008.

North Eastern Airways is pleased to announce that today it received its final 777 aircraft today. N2303NE was delivered today at a ceromony at Pittsburgh Intl Airport marking the last passenger 777 North Eastern Airways intends to take delivery of. 2303 is a Boeing 777-200LR, the third of its type delivered to us. We had our third 777-300ER delivered on Friday, but was not intending to take, delivery of this -200LR for another few weeks.

This 777-200LR however is not the last 777 that will be entered into our fleet. In the next two months, we are intending to take delivery of our 6th, and 7th 777-200LRF aircraft for our cargo Division. These 777's are intended to replace DC-10-30F's along with two more MD-11F's. The 777-200LRF was first delivered to us, the Launch Customer, back earlier this summer. Since then, we have taken delivery of five aircraft, with the first three frame ever made being delivered to us. The 777-200LRF was used to replace our four 747-400ERF's.

Press Release: December 15th, 2008

Over the last few days, North Eastern Airways has received eight aircraft, all of which we got great deals on! We recieved four aircraft from both Breeze Airways and EagleJet Airways. From Breeze Airways, we recieved two Boeing 737-700ER, one Boeing BBJ1(737-7ET) and a Embraer Legacy 600. One of the 737-700ER's was sent to our Hawaiian hub for use with intra-island flights and medium haul flight to the mainland. The other was sent to Pittsburgh were it will be used on Short-Medium haul flights on the mainland. We use the 737-700ER over the standard -700 because it simplifies things for us. It has a greater range than the -700 and is already ETOPS certified, but can still do short flights. The BBJ and Legacy have joined our corporate fleet. The BBJ has been brought to the states and the Legacy will be stationed out of London City Airport for use with charter flights in Europe.

From EagleJet Airways, we recieved two almost new 757-200 aircraft. Along with our current fleet of 757-200's they are wingletted and are ETOPS certified. They have been transferred to Pittsburgh and will most likely be sent to another hub. The other two aircraft were Bombardier Q400's. They too have been sent to London City which they will serve London with regional flights to nearby cities of up to 500nm away.

These newest aircraft brings our total aircraft to 170.

In other news, NEA operated its first direct flight between our Pittsburgh Hub and the Mauritius Hub of Platin Wngs, a Partner airline from WVA, with a 777-200LR. The Trip was 8359nm long and took 17hrs 56min. The total round trip turned out to be a quite profitable one, making us just over eight million total of pure profit.
