Simple SimBrief URL on Briefing Document

Post by JasonO » Sat Sep 05, 2020 8:11 pm

Hello,

SimBrief is a popular flight planning tool and is often used by Sim Pilots for creating flight plans and has means of using up-to-date AIRAC data. It also links in with other sim software such as Navigraph.

On the Briefing Document page can a URL be added to autofill in the details on the SimBrief flight plan page from information already known. While SimBrief does have a larger API, this method is purely a URL passing GET variables from the information known, thus requires no API access, API key or similar. From testing, any empty or blank parameters are just left for default alterations on the flight plan.

Example:

Code: Select all

<a href="http://www.simbrief.com/system/dispatch.php?airline=ABC&fltnum=1234&type=B738&orig=KORD&dest=KSFO&deph=16&depm=30&steh=4&stem=30" target="_blank"><img src="http://www.simbrief.com/previews/sblogo_small.png"></a>
Full parameters and information is here - https://www.simbrief.com/forum/viewtopi ... d0df29aeea

Regards,
Jason
