Setting to allow preference for date format

Post by JasonO » Tue Sep 01, 2020 3:34 pm

Hello,

Would it be possible to pick in your profile your preference of date format. Currently, today's date reads 09/01/2020 which to anyone outside of North America reads as the 9th January 2020. Preference would be to have DD/MM/YYYY but this cannot be changed as far as I can see.

The countries in cyan are DDMMYY and those green are DDMMYY or YYMMDD. Only countries in red are MMDDYY.

Regards,
Jason

If there are any places that show dates as MM/DD/YY that is a bug and I would want to fix it. Our standard is to display either like Aug 07, 14:41 (Month, Day, Time) within 6 months or like 19 Apr 2020 (Day, Month, Year) beyond that with month always in text so to be clear.

Even though I personally live in the United States I have felt for some time that Month/Day/Year was a very illogical way to display dates so I have tried to avoid it.

I did notice the above formats through most of places.

The aircraft log of aircraft shows the old date for me. I can't recall anywhere else for now. How is best to inform you of them?

Thanks for pointing that out, I fixed that and several others that had the same problem. If you see any more you can reply here or submit a support ticket.
