Subcontracting

Post by thefatboyshow » Sat Jul 18, 2020 10:55 pm

Hi all,

Would love the idea where I can run my own airlines and fly for a mates airline as well.

Maybe look at have a subcontractor charge coming of the profits of the flight if flying flying for a different airline than your own.

Could this be done?

If you have different routes from your mates' airline you can easily form a "partnership" where you can fly each other's routes and a percentage of the income goes to the airline owning the route. I think it's 10%. BUT, here is the kicker.... if you both have the same route you will actually make 10% less than if you did not have the partnership. So for people who want to venture to say Australia and they fly mainland USA or Europe, a partnership with an Aussie VA would be the way to go, provided that airline does not have worldwide operations in your home region.
