one way of winning against another airline would be to buy them out, you of cause would get all there a/c and routes but this also could be one way of people starting again.
what do you think?

Re: Buying out other airlines
I am sure there are many on this platform whose goal is not to 'win' but to build a great airline, for whom a buy-out would not be welcome.
I've sworn an oath of solitude until the pestilence is purged from the lands.
Re: Buying out other airlines
Had that option once in a "merge airlines" maneuver where assets and cash transferred but years ago it was massively abused and the loophole was thankfully closed. So if you see the thread in the forum, disregard it as it no longer works.

Re: Buying out other airlines
I had forgotten about that how-to post on mergers, I have just removed it to not give anyone any ideas.
I have merged some airlines on request from the CEO's but I am being much more restrictive on it, generally allowing it if the value of the two airlines is less than 10B and if above that the richer airline has to 'buy' the smaller airline so its assets do not increase. The few where the later would apply usually don't continue.
