Landing Fee's

Post by thefatboyshow » Tue Feb 11, 2020 12:43 am

Hi,

just wondering why airlines don't get charge a landing fee or at lest a gate fee. In real life airlines get charged a landing fee.

you could look at making hubs free to land or at a discounted rate.

I'm sure a google search and you could find the real life landing fee's.

We pay parking fee's as it is. By charging landing fee's, you would be essentially penalizing the people who use the system the most.

it would mean that airlines would have to set a higher ticket price, or run at less at a profit but would make for more competition on routes and making sure you have the right aircraft as the bigger the plane the higher the landing price,

if you want to make it realistic than adding landing fee's is one way to go

We discussed landing fees when we did parking fees, and did not do them as they were would just add a per flight cost without changing things too much. Real life landing fees seam to be tied to airport size like landing fees are

We could adjust up the ticket price formula by 10-20 % and then cadd a landing fee but I’m not sure what that would add.
