Time of day & Weather

Post by ChickenDipper » Fri Mar 15, 2019 7:14 pm

Hi,

Not sure if possible, but would be great if the client could detect if the sim is running with real world time of day and real world weather set, if not the pilot suffers negative reputation - adds to the realism aspect.

To be honest, personally I rarely use real world time of day since often when I fly it's in the evening after work and I don't want to always fly at night.

Beside once I am at cruise altitude and turn on the autopilot I usually turn up time compression and then will no longer be at real world time.

Also I don't know of a way to determine if real world weather is being used, with FSX the original real world weather no longer works and you have to use an external utility like ActiveSky (which I use) and its not possible to tell which scheme its using, so it could be real world, or ideal or super stormy.

Btw, we do know when time compression is turned on and we do reduce the revenue bonus based on that.

Was worth a try...just looking for as much realism as possible.
