Seat Configuration

Hello everyone!

I have two recommendations for setting seats that would improve the experience:

1. The possibility of changing the seat configuration for all airplanes of the same type, as happens with the images. Currently you only have to change one by one and it is slower.

2. I have been studying the changes that the configuration seats produces and it doesn't seem very realistic to me. Regardless of the configuration, the economic income per passenger is the same (business is twice the economy occupying two seats and first is four times economy occupying four seats), but this implies that the lower the number of passengers, the system will assign more cargo to the aircraft to carry the same weight, therefore:
- It doesn't make sense that the smaller number of passengers there is more cargo on a commercial flight.
- You can cheat the system, configure all seats as First, and get more income for the extra charge.

I think that this should be regular, the weight per load should be equivalent to the number of passengers, as it happens in real life.

Some interesting ideas. I did do a search for aircraft seat specifications today but could not find much that was useful. I really wanted a nice comparison chart for an seat makers products that listed weight and footprint but could not. They only want to list the weights for there ultra light weight seats. I did see a few (light weight) economy seats in the 10-15 kg range and one business class seat that weighed 80 kg.

Edit: I just found a site that sold refurbished seats and had some economy seats in the 10-15 kg range, business in the 33-51 kg range and a first class seat that was 61 kg. Given that we could say an economy seat is 15 kg, business 30 kg and first 60 kg and the hole thing is a wash since if you swap two economy with a business the weight stays the same. I don't really see a factual basis for saying one business class pax adds the same weight as two economy seat pax.

We do try to limit the number of first and business class seats at airports but given how infrequent flights are from some airports the supply does not get exhausted. I do think the formulas that determine number of passengers is probably too generous and should be reduced a bit, especially for the higher class seats.

If someone can find some more information on the economics of the different seating classes I would be very interested in seeing it.

i solved this by limitting the amount of cargo in my flightplans.
Some airlines like IAGcargo (Iberia/British Airways) provide an overview of their belly cargo fleet
with details about the max. cargo capacity on their passenger aircraft.
