FSAirlines client and FSINN fleet locations with AI-traffic

Post by ep-irl » Mon Jan 16, 2012 3:05 pm

Hello,
we have our own FSINN server running on fsvirtual.com, its just a simple FSD server that gets its xyz location and aircraft type from a whazzup.txt file that the programme creates, heres an example of one:

Code: Select all

some of our members where asking if it was possible for the FSA client to communicate with this fsd programme file , so that you would see all aircraft in the va's fleet in FSINN as AI aircraft that are parked at each airport as per fsairlines fleet page.
this would also be valid for vatsim ivao and dafsim servers , as they all use same or simular whazzup.txt files

is this possible to achieve?

FSA does not provide the actual AI traffic. Though, if you wanted that to be possible, you could build your own AI flight plans and modify them to fit your airline's schedule.

cheers, thanks for the reply.

maybe if there was an "export as AI traffic" button, that would give you a file that fsx could use to populate AI traffic into FSX at the right airports where your VA fleet are

just to let you know (if anyone else is insterested! lol) that we are looking into using an AI traffic planner to work out a schedule of aircraft that is based on our FSA fleet locations and a timed schedule of legs.

its going to take some time to do, but basically there will be one (or a couple) of .bgl files which any member will be able to download and once traffic is turned on to a level that suits your FPS and PC specs, you will always have an aircraft to take off / land with. which will be very handy for those quite times when there are few people online on the server.
