Would it be possible if there could be a 500-1000ft buffer (ie: 10500 or 11000) for the landing lights? I like to use FS2Crew with my flights, and that program turns off the lights just as it passes 10000 ft.
Thanks for your consideration,
Devin

Re: Landing Lights buffer
The buffer is 94 milliseconds before the penalty kicks in.

Re: Landing Lights buffer
Actually there should be a 1000ft tolerance. Maybe FS2Crew turns off the landing lights according to your current altimeter settings and not standard atmosphere settings (1013.2/29.92).

Thanks Konrad! I wasn't sure if that buffer was there or not...I saw the post that was made in 2005!!
I'm not sure how FS2Crew determines altitude. I'll do a few flights and let you know.

Re: Landing Lights buffer
Just had a look into the code as I remember that we changed that sometime ago and I was right, it's 100ft tolerance now, not 1000ft.

Re: Landing Lights buffer
I see where my math was off when I provided the 94ms buffer time, forgot to account for time acceleration. Oddly enough though Konny, I had a penalty not kick in till 10475 feet rather than 10100.
