Lease to Own
When airlines lease they lease... but what if an airline likes that particular plane? Lease for X number of months then they [the leasee] would have the option to buy that plane( as the [owner] airline wishes)...it would be an option if the airline(the leasee) is short on cash...

Re: Lease to Own
you can do that just by asking the leasing airline who you leased it from or by finding a leaser who will...

Re: Lease to Own
what i mean is that the company can just buy the plane on top of the lease for a value [value of aircraft]-[muney paid while leasing]... basically the leasee pays into there plane... and at the end they own it

Not a bad idea actually, and the current price range limit on sales prevents the seller giving more than a 50% discount. We usually negotiate low lease rates over a long period, which suits our financial model, but it could be a great help for new start-ups.
The counter argument is that you can easily make money very quickly if you want to (create your VA, lease an A380, fly at 16x for a week and you probably have a billion in the bank ), but I can see airlines that want to run realistically being attracted by this idea.
