Hi
Pilot requests for TR's currently rely on messaging. It would be nice to have some sort of automated request system on FSA. Maybe another option under personal section of navigation menu 'Request Type rating' underneath 'Book Flight'. When a pilot wants to request a change to his Type ratings he selects the menu option which then gives him a list of the VA aircraft types which he can tick 'Change'. When a pilot has made his selection his info button on the overview page changes colour. Anyone authorised to give TR's can then go into the pilots profile and select 'Assign Type' ratings to see which TR has been requested to be changed. A 'Change' column would need to be added so you would have 'No', 'TR', 'Yes' and 'Change'. Once the authorised person sees which Type rating has had a change request then he selects either of the first three which removes the 'Change' request and the pilots info button reverts to normal colour.
Also, currently, when you select 'Manage Type ratings' from the overview page, the aircraft selection given is for ALL aircraft types on FSA. I think this list on the drop down should only include types which the VA operates.
Regards
John

Re: Requesting Type Rating changes
Good idea
but what about for e.g. airline manager sets rating acceptance at X flights with rating >= xx% and must be in profit auto assign rating for A/C
to allow a small amout of automation so untill you make that rating you dont get to fly that a/c for real profit for the airline
