Flightplan-Import-Possibilities

Post by NAI001 » Wed Feb 18, 2009 10:03 pm

Good eve from Germany,

well guys what do you think about more flighplan-import-possibilities?

At the moment, it´s just possible to ad one .txt flightplan. Well I create for every single airport one .txt flightplan and so it´s a long wax to insert all flightplans!

Are there any possibilities to get more import possibilities?

Thanks for answering!

Good night!

Hi,

You are not restricted to one flightplan per text file. I regularly import flightplan text files with flightplans of many hundreds. Just merge your airport plans all together in the one text file.

Oh roger,

will do it for the next plans I made!

Thanks for answering!

Just a question:

Why are we only allowed to upload one FP (.txt)?

Hi,

You are not restricted to upload just one text file, you can upload as many as you like but just one file at a time. If you have more than one text file compiled then just upload them one after another. Each time you compile a new batch of flightplans into a text file just upload it and add to what you've already uploaded. By default the 'add to' is selected so that your text file will add to what you have already uploaded in the past. If you decide to completely change all your flightplans with a new set then change the 'add to' to 'replace' and all existing plans on FSA will be deleted and replaced with your new set. I keep my compiled text files seperate by aircraft type. For instance, I'm just building flightplan text files for B707 pax and cargo variants and they will be compiled as two seperate text files. I use microsoft excel to compile the plans and save as csv file type, it makes it easier for editing. You can use notepad also to open the compiled file which I do as a final check to make sure the file looks good.
