Would it be possible to reduce the load manually, even though we aren't at our aircraft's takeoff weight?
Say you are departing from an airport such as LSGS (Sion) or LOWI (Innsbruck) that requires a special climb gradient, and you need to lower the total takeoff weight of the aircraft to meet 1st and 2nd stage climb requirements, in case an engine fails... this would mean leaving some passengers/cargo behind, or rather, not having them booked at all. Airlines do this all the time due to derivative engines (old engines that can't produce 100% power anymore), high/hot airports, runway length considerations, departure path obstacles, and do loose revenue from this stuff.
Any thoughts?

We have been considering adding a maximum pax count and cargo kg to the flight plans. These restrictions would be observed when the flight is booked. Would this fill your requirement?
