What happened to updating the "go shopping" feature?

There was a big thread aboput this, and I can't find it now.

The "go shopping" thing is part of what makes flynet fun, but once you've gone and bought a bunch of stuff.... it's over... lol

I'm sure we can all help update this if you put a "submit item" and picture (of a certain pixel x pixel so it fits)... and a item description and price. Lots of us would be more than willing to submit items.

and maybe "submit new category"

ya, gotta look way back to find it, i sparked some life back into it around jan.-feb. but it died again... those features need to be added so we can get things in there...

I think the items in the 'go shopping' feature was Justin's (cmdrnmartin) project and he seams to be busy with other things right now. I suppose we could add something to the new site where users can recommend things to be added to the stuff that can be purchased.

Possibly add a "User's Item" Category for those items submitted by users if they don't already fit into a category that has already been set up.

Bringing up a really old thread, but I think with the new server maybe this could see the light of day?

Having a place where users could "submit" and item , picture (as long as it would be exact pixel size) and item description, and a suggested price, then it could be added by an admin merely by hitting something like an "approved" or Dissproved" button?
