Can we also get the engine type and range of the aircraft listed with/next to the number of engines a particular plane has when we click the info button?
I don't know about a lot of you, but being fairly aircraft challenged, it would really help. I spend a lot of time trying to research a particular plane I'm interested in buying/leasing on the net and this would save me a lot of time. Time that I could be flying instead of surfing the net for info.

Adding engine type may be useful, as piston engines are less reliable and cost more to maintain than turbine engines and FlyNET could take advantage of that to calculate maintenance costs or when failures happen. Not certain if we need range though.
I've sworn an oath of solitude until the pestilence is purged from the lands.
I like the idea of the added maintence costs.
But ranges of aircraft can be found on the net very easily.
Remember, real pilots spend a lot of time filing paperwork and doing research.
My two cents worth.

I like the idea maintanence idea, too. Would be quite easy to implement and would be another factor that would make flynet more realistic
the range thing would be too hard to calculate exactly and everybody would start bitching about imprecise data.
you have got some nice ideas, keep em coming, even if we'll need a while to implement them

Actually I was suggesting the idea for reference only, but the maint thing does sound cool.
I was thinking more along the lines of when you are looking to purchase/lease an aircraft it would be nice to know the ranges so you know what type of plane you need for a specific run. ie. I'm looking for a good fuel efficient plane for a run from KPDX (Portland, Or) to KSAN (San Diego, Ca). Wolfar has already suggested that I purchase a 737-900, but I wouldn't have had to call him and pick his brains if the info was included in the aircraft database on the info tab.

And you say that you want precise distance between two Airports?
