Upgrading Aircraft

I think there should be a way to upggradee our aircraft like 744 to 744ER and pay 1.5 times the value diffference and it should not bee usable for a week.

Bad idea... some aircraft need to be totally changed in that process. Some need totally new engines, new fuel tanks, some even need to be stretched... I suggest just getting the new one...

While you can convert a 747-400 to a 747-400SF, you can't convert a 747-400 to a 747-400ER if only because Boeing doesn't offer that option. If you want a 747-400ER, you've gotta sell your existing 747-400 for the money or trade it in to Boeing to help pay for the new one.
