Add tags on Flight records

Post by Zissiz Zekapten » Wed May 31, 2023 8:14 pm

- Add a "Real Time Hours" tag to indicate this flight respected the real UTC hours, with a 15mn grace period.
- Add a "Real Time Rate" tag to indicate this flight didn't accelerate time nor paused more than 5mn cumulated.

Currently we record the local start and stop time of the flight, as reported by the sim.
Plus we record the flight hours as recorded by the sim.
And we record the maximum sim rate as recorded by the sim.

So are you asking for actual time in the sim, except when its paused?
Recording pauses can be challenging in MSFS, there is more than one kind of pause and 'active pause' freezes the aircraft in place but time keeps moving on so to the client it does not look like things are paused. To be honest, nobody has asked about the amount of time the sim was paused before.

We actually do record the time the flight was booked and time it was recorded. We don't surface that but I do use it to determine if the recorded sim rate is plausible when I review a flight.

The idea was just to have a record of "how realist" the flight was. Whatever the metrics available.

For the "Real Time Hours", it was just to track if the pilot flought with the real world time in sim.
