cargo prices

why dont u have to set the price of cargo on the site.

cant it be set up so that u set the price per ton?

Because the airlines typically have a fixed rate based on weight and distance as FlyNET does. If anything, they give discounts for larger shipments, so FlyNET is a bit on the generous side.

so they take the weight of cargo and distance then i guess mulitple that by the fixed rate then?

Tell you what Flightsimmer

Ill dig out one of my old IATA Tariff books and send it to Chris its just a matter of 3000 pages of prices by destination, weight and commodity - wouldnt take more than six to 9 months to load them all in

I think that's a bit over the top, but yeah, it's really complex in the real world. FlyNET took the real-world system and simplified it a bit, but the end effect is the same - you make a higher profit on cargo than on passengers.

I was merely pointing out the reason that Flynet computers cargo the way it does...- In real life (as I am aware you know having worked the Freight Dog side of the street) The costing of cargo is far more complex than any passenger flight either

i already new how they worked, i was making sure i understood it so there was no reason to post wat u did. i didnt know how the price was figured up thats why i was asking.
