Well, as I was typing the above, I got the Client to load by "running as administrator"...not sure if that had anything to do with it.

I just restarted everything, trying to reduce the size of the number of packages in the database to see if it helps. We also keep all the delivered packages to show on the reports but I think that after four months there is probably no reason to keep them. As it is there are now more delivered packages in the database than pending (7,762,317 packages delivered so far!)

Upgrading the server is in my todo list, we have been using the current one for about 5 years now, all a matter of finding the time, making sure all our older code works with the latest versions of all the software packages.

Continuing to monitor.

I think people are hammering the global package search screen, when i have looked to see what is running when things were bogging down I saw a query that was being run for all packages of 20,000 kg or less, sorted by size. That probably should not be allowed. I will probably have to work on that screen to make it more efficient.

I have replaced the current database -> packages search page with one that just shows a table for each of the three biggest package sizes, showing the top 100 airports where they are waiting, hopefully this will keep people happy for a bit while I work the page that page.

Problem still exists at 13:00 UTC, but working ok 30 mins later

From ca 19:30 UTC very slow or unavailable . Before that everything OK. It looks to me as DDoS attack.

I think I may have found the issue, continuing to monitor.
