Problems with AntiCheat ? Report here !

Post by Konny » Mon Apr 17, 2006 12:18 pm

Ok, so here is the topic for everyone who has problems with the new AntiCheat-Sytem.
It should be working better than the old one but it could need some testing when flying near the poles.

Konny:

Today I can fly more than 2 hrs, but now (5:00gmt) the flynet
make another "fix" and the soft crash again 30 min after!

I can't belive that...all is OK..then now before crash, sound the bell
and flynet disappear...

Gggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! one step forward and 3 back..Jesus!

If flynet registered the fly time each 15 min I't can't be loss!
I hate fly hours and loss the time and fly time too.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

@BigQ
Unfortunately there is nothing in the log.out which could help. I'll change that with the next release and if it happens again we should be able to pinpoint the bug.

@caphawk
Did you get any error messages ? If yes do you remember what it said ?

wierd, I edited that previous message about it last night, and it's unedited...

anyways, i thought of it last night...
i downloaded the client 0.5.5, and kept it running for a couple of hours before actually flying... by then, there was the new client, 0.5.6... could that be that?

@caphawk
Sorry for the problems and the pilots you lost, but this is still a beta-test. I'm doing my best to keep it as bugfree as possible but I don't test the functions excessively because therefore I have you :-)
Anyway, I don't think it came with the new client. Do you have the problems with every flight now ?

@BigQ
No, the version-change shouldn't have been a problem. And I can't say what the problem was. I added some debug-data which will help me in future but that has to wait for the next release. Anyway I noticed that the system is deactivated in 0.5.6b, so it can't make any problems at the moment.

Well, your were right...twice ;-)

The bug really came with the 0.5.6b and the last line in the log.out also helped me a lot. It was a very obvious bug ( grrr ) which caused the client to crash if the internet connection failed. Should be fixed with the new 0.5.7b.

I keep getting errors when i have jsut started my flight. I load up the fuel and start the plane and then a dew seconds later i t says anti cheat detected. I've downloaded the version without anticheat in the meantime to get some flights done.

Cheat Attempt Recognised x 2

Post by SJDobby » Wed May 24, 2006 9:56 am

I've twice (last night and this morning) tried to fly from Stansted (EGSS) to Humberside (EGNJ) on UKDirect flight UKD2052 using a PSS Dash8-Q300 and real weather (downloaded last night).

The first time it happened I had just landed at Humberside :cry: , my internet connection was stable (and remained so), and as far as I'm aware I was doing nothing "illegal". The second time was a bit earlier, during my descent (about 4000' or so), and again, internet was fine and remained fine, and I was not doing anything "naughty" (e.g. changing anything via FS menus, etc).

I did not keep the .out files, so cannot provide any info there, but I did then re-attempt the flight using an ERJ145 (Feelthere) and everything was fine. I therefore assume it is either a technical issue with the PSS Dash8 (although I can't think what effect different planes could have on the FlyNet client) or just a coincidence that the same error occurred near the same airport in the same aircraft (but not when I changed the aircraft).

I've only had one "Cheat attempt" problem prior to this (in the ERJ), but that was during taxi prior to departure.

Cheers
Simon
